#GivingTuesday 2016 - Outreach Van!

The HIPS van does so much.  From syringe exchange deliveries during the day to giving out condoms and hot chocolate on the strolls overnight, we keep it moving every single day of the week. Our current van (a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country) is ready to retire after years of valiant service. 

We're using our #GivingTuesday campaign this year to raise the money to buy a new van. It's going to cost us about $30,000 (including making our backyard more functional as a parking pad), and we need you to help us get to $10,000 today. We also have an exciting prospect this year: through two generous donors, every dollar we raise up to $10K will be matched! 

Our van helps us support one of the most important principles of harm reduction -- meeting people where they're at. Every dollar you give or raise for the van helps keep our clients safe, healthy, and supported. In the past 23 years, the van has been a symbol of what HIPS stands for: community and connection, wherever you are, whoever you are. Let's make sure that we can keep that going -- give today!
