HIPS continues to provide essential harm reduction based services during the coronavirus pandemic.
We envision a world where all people engaged in sexual exchange and drug usecan use their power to live healthy and self-determined lives free from stigma, violence, criminalization or oppression.

Your monthly donation mean that HIPS can stay relevant and responsive to community needs!!
Last year HIPS pink donors helped support new employment opportunities at HIPS for current and former sex workers, supported learning opportunities for our clients, and so much more.
A donation of $10 per month or more automatically enrolls you as a HIPS Pink Membership, and have access to our pink member newsletter, special events and access to special swag and discounts. Welcome to the family!

Deirdre Daly wants to volunteer 2015-07-24 11:50:11 -0400
Our Summer Volunteer Training is now open.
We are looking for dedicated, empathetic volunteers to support the goals and mission of HIPS in myriad ways, including on our Outreach Van, Hotline, through fundraising efforts, and even administrative work. Volunteers are integral to the work of HIPS.
We're looking forward to working together!
How to Become a HIPS Volunteer 101:
1. Fill out our application. The contact form at the bottom of this page is not the application. Your completed application reserves you a spot in the orientation. Space is limited, so reserve your spot now!
2. Come to Orientation! This is required for everyone who wants to volunteer, and is a great chance for you to meet us and find out more about the organization and harm reduction! Ideally, this orientation will help you decide if you want to commit to volunteering at HIPS, and which volunteer roles you're interested in. This year's orientation is on May 12th, at 11 AM.
PLEASE NOTE: There are no make-up sessions for our orientation. If you cannot attend an orientation, we'll keep you on the list for the next orientation. We hold training in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. Please use the form at the bottom of this page to be added to our email list.
3. Interview with the outreach team! Our trainings have limited spots. We want to meet you and make sure you'd be a good fit (and that we're a good fit for you). We hold trainings three times per year, and you can definitely interview more than once for the volunteer roles you want!
4. Attend all sessions of training for the volunteer position(s) that you accept!
